Subscription Rocket
A free popunder exchange for promoting your email newsletter. Place a small piece of code on your pages and a popunder window will list newsletters people can sign up for. Every time you display the popunder, your listing will be displayed four times somewhere else in the system. As well, you can earn extra credits by sponsoring others. I've been testing the popunders under some busy content pages, and have gained over four hundred new subscribers in a few weeks. As with any exchange, you need some traffic of your own to make the system work.
I think the key to getting good results from Subscription Rocket is an informative, appealing listing. This is not the place for "teaser" headlines or hype; make it absolutely clear what your newsletter will be about. Space is limited, so use it carefully, and don't hesitate to test different wording to see how that affects the response rate.
WordTracker
A key aspect of internet marketing is fine-tuning your web pages to improve the chances that they will rank well in search results when someone looks for your product or service. You need to know what search terms people are likely to use, and work some of them gracefully into your copy (and to some extent into your behind-the-scenes coding as well). It's important to do this with terms people really use, not just what you think they'd use.
WordTracker can help you find this out - it's a tool I've absolutely fallen in love with. Give it a word or phrase to check, and it reports how many recent searches used that term (or a variation). Give it another and it will check again... You can sift the results to discover search terms that relate to your topic, and see how often searchers used them. For developing a list of keywords to bid on in the pay-per-click search engines, I can do in an hour with WordTracker what used to take a day using Overture's keyword suggestion tool.
WordTracker can help you assess how competitive a keyword is. It looks at how many searchers use the term, and also how many other sites turn up in the results. This is valuable to know when you're optimizing pages to be found in the regular search engines. It will be hard to get a high ranking for a popular search term that turns up a zillion other sites. Optimizing for a less common term that fewer sites are competing can often be more profitable. WordTracker helps you make educated decisions about where to focus your efforts.
WordTracker offers a free trial, but it isn't nearly as impressive as the program deserves. It was after a friend badgered me into getting the real thing that I began to get excited about WordTracker's power. I wouldn't be without it, now!

Practical, proven, ethical advice from Ken Evoy, an internet marketer who is respected around the world. And hey, he's Canadian, too! You can own the e-book in minutes for less than the cost of a good restaurant meal. I have talked to a number of people who consider this one of their all-time best business investments. It will pay for itself by helping you avoid mistakes, as much as by telling you what to do. There's lots of good promotional advice available on the internet; Ken Evoy's special strength is his advice about how to plan your site's sales process so it gets the order effectively.
