BuckWorks began as a small collection of Webmaster Resources written or collected by myself, Elisabeth Archambault. The Online Shopping Directory grew from my bookmarks of online stores. I think of it as a useful way to channel my compulsive shopping tendencies! I add new listings nearly every week. I make no claim to list the best shopping on the web. There are too many stores I haven't even found yet! But I'm confident that my listings will take you to GOOD shopping, with good merchants who offer good service and good products at good prices. If I'm wrong in any of my judgements, my visitors are sure to let me know! A bit about me: I came to the Internet from academia. I used to be a communications instructor at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon. I also served as editor for several of the online distance education courses offered by the college's Business Division. I took time away from this when my parents were ill, became involved in internet marketing, and haven't gone back to "my day job." My specialty became online promotions in the pay per click search engines, helping online merchants sell everything from craft supplies to car parts. Some of the merchants I have promoted this way also appear in my shopping directory. The name BuckWorks was inspired by the suggestion tool at NameBoy.com. I liked it because it was easy to spell, distinctive, not too long, and somewhat relevant to concepts of making and saving money. Most important, the name was still available! After registering the domain name, I also registered BuckWorks as a business in the province of Manitoba, Canada.
